The priest’s city
Sanchuniathon of Berytus gathered what the temples kept and dedicated the work to Abibalus. Porphyry says the investigators of truth approved him. Philo of Byblos translated. The west received a priest’s compilation as a curiosity. It is a city’s memory.
El Elyon and Beruth dwelt about Byblos in the old theogony and gave the name. Later an imperial law school. First a city of the books.
